Atlanta's Grady Health System is the first in the Southeastern United States to improve its patient care through Beckman Coulter's multi-disciplinary Power Express laboratory system. The key is the integration of its hematology connection, which enhances and streamlines laboratory operations.
In partnership with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, the Grady core laboratory's launch of the Power Express automation line provides state-of-the-art hematology and chemistry diagnostic capabilities, as well as workflow process improvements.
"Utilizing advanced medical technology to improve efficiency, while providing fast and reliable results to clinicians that meet our high quality standards, is a vital component in our efforts to enhance patient care," said Dr. Karen Mann, Grady's Medical Director of Clinical Laboratories. Grady performs approximately 13 million tests annually. The laboratory is now able to deliver even more efficient results with the addition of the Beckman Coulter Power Express automation line; it consolidates multi-disciplinary workflow with a single point of entry for all core laboratory disciplines such as hematology, immunoassay and chemistry.
