The study’s findings:
- Established a robust database of pediatric reference standards for 47 hematologic parameters in the Canadian Laboratory Initiative on Pediatric Reference Intervals (CALIPER) cohort for the first time
- Along with accompanying publication containing hematologic Reference Intervals (RIs) on the Beckman Coulter DxH 9001, have the potential to address gaps in pediatric RIs for hematologic parameters and, as a result, improve the accuracy of laboratory result interpretation and clinical decision making in children and adolescents
